DEPENDENT
OR CONTROLLED SOURCES
A
dependent voltage or current source depends on some other quantity in the
circuit which is either a voltage or a current. There are four types of dependent
sources.
(i)
Voltage dependent voltage source (VCVS) (or) Voltage Controlled Voltage Source
(Ex)
Operational amplifier
(ii)
Current controlled voltage source (CCVS)
(iii)
Voltage controlled current source (VSCS)
(Ex)
Field effect transistor
(iv)
Current controlled current source (CCCS)
(Ex)
Common base transistor
