TRANSISTOR BIASING

Transistor used for any application, it is necessary to provide the sufficient voltage and current to switch ON and to operate in linear region of its transfer characteristics. This process is known as Biasing.

The biasing providing a fixed (or) minimum amount of the current which would flow through the transistor with the desired fixed voltage across the transistor junction. In order to operate transistor in the desired region. We have to apply external DC voltages to two junctions of the transistor. The table shows the region and biased conditions.
